A new technology has just debuted, designed to cut fuel use and costs and reduce emissions associated with diesel fuels — especially in fleet trucks.

Called BoostBox H2 and manufactured in the USA, the patented technology is a fuel cell-based hydrogen on demand solution for the multiple diesel-based industries focused on increasing fuel efficiency, improving emissions, lowering maintenance costs and extending engine life.

The BoostBox H2 system’s rugged design has been tested to the same real-world and strict standards required of truck manufacturers around the world (Freightliner, Cummins, Mercedes, etc.) with millions of miles of on road use as well as by some of the most capable testing partners including the University of West Virginia and Element Materials Technology (formally Cascade Tek).

Among diesel fuel consumers such as the trucking industry, the number one pain point and largest expense is fuel. With over 8.5 million older Class 8 vehicles on America’s roads today, fleet owners and owner/operators know this all to well.  Other critical issues among truck operators include lowering maintenance costs and extending the life of their vehicles.

Until now, and the unveiling of the BoostBox H2 technology, existing solutions for fuel efficiency have revolved mostly around aerodynamics and the use of filters to reduce emissions. In reality, these filter technologies actually produce a negative impact on fuel efficiency.

With an average fuel savings of 10% (many experience much higher results), and with an average reduction in overall emissions of 65% (in some cases measurements of an 85% reduction in particulates and 30% cut in greenhouse gases have been found), the Return On Investment (ROI) of the BoostBox H2 is estimated to be between 12-16 months or sooner.
