Cooper Tire & Rubber Announces Leadership Changes

Cooper Tire & Rubber Company (NYSE: CTB) today announced that Brad Hughes has been named to the newly created position of Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer and Phil Kortokrax  has been named Vice President—North America Tire Operations.

Hughes, in his new role, has responsibility for Cooper’s worldwide operations throughout North America, Asia, Europe and Latin America. He has been with the company for five years, beginning in 2009 as Chief Financial Officer. In July 2014, he was appointed to lead the company’s International segment as President—International Tire Operations. Hughes has three decades of experience in key finance, strategic planning and operational roles, with several global assignments throughout his career.

In Kortokrax’s new post, he will be responsible for the strategic leadership and growth of all Cooper operations in the U.S. and Canada. Kortokrax’s appointment is made as Chris Ostrander, President – Americas Tire Operations, has announced he will depart Cooper effective February 6. Ostrander has accepted the role of Chief Executive Officer with an automotive aftermarket parts supplier.

Kortokrax has been with Cooper for 24 years in a career that has included leadership positions in a wide range of functional areas from Information Technology and Finance to Sales and Marketing and Operations. Kortokrax was named to his most recent role as Vice President of Manufacturing for North America Tire Operations in 2012. He will report to Hughes in his new position.
