Crosspoint Kinetics to Make Major Partnership and Demo Kinetics Hybrid System at Work Truck ShowCrosspoint Kinetics, a Cummins Crosspoint company that quickly transforms fleets’ new and existing class 3-7 buses and trucks into more fuel-efficient and cleaner running vehicles, is anticipated to make a major partnership announcement and showcase its flagship product, the Kinetics Hybrid, at the 2015 Green Truck Summit and Work Truck Show, March 3-6.

This is the third year the company has attended the North America’s largest work truck event, held in Crosspoint Kinetics’ hometown of Indianapolis, Ind.

In addition, the company will be challenging conference goers to test their ‘green’ driving skills using the new Kinetics Hybrid demo delivery truck.

More than 10,000 visitors are expected to attend the conference will have the chance to see the next generation, proven electric hybrid in Crosspoint Kinetics booth, #5375.

There, visitors will be able to see first-hand how the bolt-on hybrid kit is able to quickly transform new or existing class 3-7 buses and trucks into more fuel-efficient and cleaner running vehicles.

The results are not only greener, they also flow to the bottom line.

Fleets have reported up to 30 percent more miles per gallon and a comparable reduction in emissions when the Kinetics Hybrid is used in heavy start/stop duty cycles.

A media event to announce a major technology alliance between Crosspoint Kinetics and a top truck manufacturer is scheduled for Wednesday, March 4 from 1:25 p.m. ­ 1:55 p.m. in booth #5375. Representatives from both companies will be on hand to outline the program, which will make the Kinetics Hybrid available to hundreds of additional fleets. Conference attendees are invited to attend.

Conference goers will also have the chance to experience the parallel-electric system from behind the wheel of an outfitted Ford F-59 package delivery truck during the Green Truck Ride and Drive, Wednesday and Thursday from 12:00 p.m. ­ 4:30 p.m. The ride-and-drive event is free for Work Truck Show attendees and follows a dedicated route near the Indiana Convention Center.

“When you actually feel the regenerative braking on vehicle stops and subsequent boost on launch that the Kinetics Hybrid provides, you begin to get a sense of the true money saving potential of this system,” John McNichols, product director for Crosspoint Kinetics. Drivers will pit their hybrid driving skills against others in a friendly competition to see who can use the Kinetics Hybrid to capture, conserve and reuse the most energy.

The top three drivers will receive AMEX Gift cards. Telematics maker FleetCarma will administer the contest using their C5 vehicle logger technology to determine whose driving style would save the most fuel, extend brake life the longest, and reduce the most pollution.
