Dupré Logistics, LLC,  a privately held, asset-based provider of transportation and logistics services that include energy and chemical transport, dedicated truck transportation, site logistics, and freight brokerage, hosted its annual Colloquium in Houston, featuring a presentation by Amy Wright, founder and CEO of Bitty & Beau’s Coffee and founder of ABLE to Work USA, a non-profit that helps people with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) find meaningful employment.

Wright’s presentation provided inspiration and motivation to the Dupré customers in attendance which was preceded by an opportunity for the company’s staff to spend time with their customers to share the ways in which Dupré supports customers by their “Always Forward Thinking” philosophy.

“Every year, we look forward to spending time with our customers at our Colloquium event. Taking the time to show customers the many ways we can collaborate to plan for and build a better future is important to us,” said Dupré Logistics Chief Executive Officer, Reggie Dupré. “Amy’s is an inspiration, and her advocacy work helps give meaning to the lives of many. At Dupré, we work toward the acceptance and inclusion of others in support of our vision to be the Ideal Place to Work — and her message was on point.”

Wright has devoted much of her life to being an advocate for the value, acceptance and inclusion of people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. She has worked collaboratively with the Special Olympics and Best Buddies International producing music videos that promote their platforms. She is also a contributing writer for Maria Shriver’s Architects of Change and helped develop the first business model for employing people with I/DD in the financial services sector.

Wright’s vision for changing the 80 percent national unemployment rate for people with I/DD, led her to her most fulfilling business venture yet – founding Bitty & Beau’s Coffee. The shops are run by 58 people with I/DD and have been featured on the Today Show, CNN, Good Morning America, BBC, Harry Show, Southern Living and People Magazine, as well as the Rachael Ray Show, where the brand was named the Official Coffee of the Rachael Ray Show.
