EROAD, a global technology provider of fleet management, electronic tax reporting and ELD compliance solutions for the transportation industry, announced record growth and the addition of several new members of its management team.

For the year ending March 31, 2018, EROAD recorded annual sales growth of 191% in North America.

“The ELD mandate deadline drove strong sales for us,” said Norm Ellis, president of EROAD North America.  “But more importantly as we look forward, it attracted many competitors to the transportation tech market with products that simply don’t work or meet the needs of the transportation industry. EROAD continues to make the investments needed to build on our track record of innovation and deliver an excellent experience for our customers still digesting the use of ELD technology.”

The EROAD ELD was, according to the company, “the first independently verified ELD to be launched in North America.” The independent verification by the PIT Group was followed by a five-star rating by the independent website, eldratings.com.

EROAD’s reputation with trucking associations and regulators has helped attract new customers. The company’s ELD was one of only four devices that FMCSA provided to the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Training Center for training of inspectors and investigators.

EROAD quickly added an integrated DVIR, EROAD Inspect, to its ELD solution. Customer uptake of Inspect has been significant, with close to 200,000 vehicle inspections completed in the first three months. In the last several months, EROAD has continued to add HOS rulesets and exemptions, including short haul, adverse driving, personal conveyance, agriculture and others. EROAD also delivered to customers a superior method to handle unidentified tripsto make compliance easier.

Recently, EROAD expanded its market and industry expertise by adding to its management team. Joining the company as Vice President, Finance is Sharon Babkes, who brings 18 years of experience in the accounting and finance departments from The Walt Disney Company, Sony Pictures Entertainment, and Princess Cruise Lines, and at a private financial services company.

Yasi Alemzadeh, the new Vice President, Operations at EROAD will ensure that customers get the maximum impact from EROAD solutions. She joins EROAD from AMCS Group, a leading cloud-based ERP solution for waste and recycling markets, and brings more than 18 years of leadership in account management, operations and customer success.

Keith Halasy, brought on to lead marketing for EROAD in North America, brings 20 years of experience to the company, with 12 years in fleet telematics through roles at Telenav Enterprise, Fleetcor and Azuga.
