Experian Partners with Cars.com on Vehicle History Reports

| January 21, 2014

Buying Used CarExperian Automotive has announced that it has teamed with Cars.com to make AutoCheck® vehicle history reports accessible through its used-vehicle listings section.

“Vehicle history reports build consumer confidence by validating the quality and condition of a dealership’s inventory, and they give dealers a competitive advantage to get potential customers on their lot,” said Barbara Mousigian, vice president of product for Cars.com.

“By making AutoCheck reports accessible through our Website, dealers have the option to choose the vehicle history report that best meets their specific needs, ultimately providing a better experience for dealers and consumers with more free reports across our used vehicle inventory.”

AutoCheck vehicle history reports provide dealers and consumers with in-depth information on accidents, title brands, frame-damage announcements, odometer issues and other potentially negative events that can impact a vehicle’s value. With an average of 27 million monthly visits to Cars.com, shoppers across the country will now be able to leverage the patented AutoCheck Score®, allowing them to quickly and easily understand a vehicle’s past and compare it with similar models.
