FedEx Takes No.12 Spot on Fortune List of Most Admired Companies

FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX), according to Fortune magazine, is among the most admired companies in the world, taking the number 12 spot.

The annual “World’s Most Admired Companies” report also lists FedEx as the leader in the delivery industry. The survey measures nine attributes related to financial performance and corporate reputation.

The process began with approximately 1,400 companies: the Fortune 1,000 (the 1,000 largest U.S. companies ranked by revenue) and non-U.S. companies in Fortune’s global 500 data base with revenue of $10 billion or more.

The group then selected the 15 largest for each international industry and the 10 largest for each U.S. industry, surveying a total of 687 companies from 30 countries. To arrive at the top 50 Most Admired Companies overall, 3,800 respondents were asked select the 10 companies they admired most.

With annual revenues of $47 billion, FedEx notes that it has more than 300,000 team members focused on safety, the highest ethical and professional standards and the needs of their customers and communities.
