750 Truck Fleet Tunes into EpicVue Satellite TV System to Boost Driver Retention
With long-haul driver turnover rates in the 100% range, an Illinois company with a fleet of more than 750 late model tractors is flipping the switch on a satellite-based TV system for in-cab entertainment and boosting driver recruitment and retention at the same time.
The carrier is Hirschbach Motor Lines and the solution it selected is EpicVue.

EpicVue in-cab satellite TV systems, including an antenna, DVR and 24-inch flat screen TV, can be installed in less than two hours per vehicle. The service provides more than 100 channels of programming, including premium TV services such as HBO, Showtime and NFL Sunday Ticket, for a monthly subscription fee and without any hardware costs.

Previously considered a cost prohibitive solution for commercial truck drivers, EpicVue has packaged satellite TV for fleets with 20 or more vehicles for $49 per month under a five-year contract, or $59 monthly for a three-year contract.
