Matt Scheuler Appointed President of Collins Bus Corporation
Allied Specialty Vehicles(ASV), a leading manufacturer of motor vehicles for commercial, fire & emergency and recreation markets, has announced that Matt Scheuler has been promoted to president of Collins Bus Corporation and will report to Tim Sullivan, ASV president and CEO.
Since February, Scheuler has been vice president of sales and marketing at Collins, which is located in South Hutchinson, Kan. and is the largest Type A school bus and multi function school activity bus (MFSAB) manufacturer in North America.
Collins is known for industry innovations, having introduced the first 16-20 passenger small school bus in 1967, earliest wheelchair lift in the mid-1970s and first propane fueled Type A school bus in 2010. The company has the largest distribution and service network of any school bus manufacturer in North America.
Before being appointed VP of sales and marketing earlier this year, Scheuler was director of sales at Collins and responsible for the company’s western region territories in the United States and Canada.
Prior to this, he held several other positions of increasing responsibility at Collins since joining the company in 2001. Scheuler earned his bachelor degree from Wichita State University.
