Ryder Appoints Scott Allen VP and Controller

Ryder System has appointed Scott Allen to the position of Vice President and Controller.

In this position, Allen serves as Ryder’s principal accounting officer and is responsible for corporate accounting and planning, internal and external financial reporting, vehicle administration, as well as accounting for insurance, benefits, payroll and sales tax.

Allen joins Ryder from Altera Corporation, where he most recently held the position of Vice President, Business Finance and Financial Planning and Analysis. During his seven-year tenure at Altera, he also served as the company’s Vice President, Corporate Controller and Assistant Corporate Controller.

He holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting (magna cum laude) from Siena College and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Allen succeeds Cristina Gallo-Aquino, who, as previously reported, has taken a new role at Ryder as Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of Fleet Management Solutions, the Company’s largest business segment.
