Legalization of Marijuana Provides New Niches in Transportation
As marijuana laws change across the U.S., new transportation niches and opportunities are soaring high.
Consider Colorado: There CannaRabbit, a leading cannabis transportation service provider in the state, has announced today that it was the first approved applicant for the new Marijuana Enforcement Division (MED) Transport License.
As of July 1, 2017 CannaRabbit will be one of the very few licensed cannabis couriers to have the ability to store, warehouse and transport cannabis/cannabis products for up to seven (7) business days, according to medicinal cannabis news source Daily CBD. With warehouses both on the Front Range and Western Slope, CannaRabbit will be able to better service their clients statewide by offering storage, cross-docking and centralized product sorting for more efficient and environmentally friendly distribution.
Historically, Colorado’s MED rules have only allowed for the transfer of cannabis products within the same day by the same driver, making it difficult for the courier to safely and efficiently transport product state-wide within the legal time constraints of the law.
“This rule change will allow for more flexibility in scheduling and consistency in delivery services across the board. Customers will be able to take advantage of CannaRabbit’s strategically located warehouses to make their products more readily available to dispensary locations,” stated Corey Young, President of CannaRabbit.
CannaRabbit utilizes a secure and efficient ordering system that makes it quick and easy for clients to schedule transportation. Currently CannaRabbit works with four Front Range product testing facilities that cover the cost of sample transportation and CannaRabbit is working closely with the Colorado Department of Health and Environment, the Department of Revenue, the Department of Agriculture, the MED and select MJ operations toward providing certified third-party sampling services possibly scheduled as soon as fourth quarter 2017.
