Ford Sales Drop 6.9% in February YoY; Fleets Down 3.8%
Ford Motor company reported an overall U.S. sales drop of 6.9 percent in February compared to the same period one year ago.
Fleet performance was down 3.8 percent on sales of 71,059 vehicles. Retail sales were also down, declining 8.5 percent.
It wasn’t all gloom and doom, as the F-Series marked its best results in 18 years on total sales of 68,243 trucks – the 10th consecutive month of gains.
According to Mark LaNeve, Ford vice president, U.S. Marketing, Sales and Service “Our higher trim level vehicles arereally resonating with our customers, who are looking for more content and technology than ever before. This is especially true of our trucks and SUVs.”
