Mercedes-Benz USA Names Tobias Waldeck Head of Daimler Truck Financial
Exciting time for trucking and for Daimler Trucks North America brands
Mercedes-Benz Financial Services USA LLC, a leading automotive financial services provider announced the appointment of Tobias Waldeck as vice president of the company’s business unit, Daimler Truck Financial. Daimler Truck Financial provides innovative and flexible financial and insurance services for fleet owners, owner/operators, municipal, vocational customers and dealers for the Daimler Trucks North America commercial vehicle brands including Freightliner, Western Star, Thomas Built and Mitsubishi Fuso Truck of America.
Waldeck succeeds Steve Goodale, who retired after a successful 34-year career with the company. In his new role, Waldeck leads a team of more than 200 team members dedicated to supporting the company’s commercial customers and dealers. Waldeck is also a member of the Daimler Mobility Americas executive leadership team, on which he has served since 2016.

Waldeck has more than 25 years of international experience with the Daimler organization. He most recently served as vice president of sales, marketing and remarketing for Daimler Truck Financial. Other notable roles for Waldeck have included: managing director of Daimler Financial Services Mexico; global director of strategy for Daimler Financial Services AG in Stuttgart, Germany; managing director of Mercedes-Benz Prague, Czech Republic and Bratislava, Slovakia; and managing director of Mercedes-Benz Financial Services in Seoul, South Korea.
