ICF Launches Utility Electrification Technology Platform
Central Hudson Will Deploy PowerGuide® to Help Customers Identify Fleet Electrification Opportunities and Streamline Planning
ICF global consulting and technology services provider, announced the launch of PowerGuide®, a cloud-based customer engagement, education and analytics platform that provides utilities and their customers real-time insights on the costs and benefits of fleet electrification, as well as implementation services.
Drawing from an extensive data collection of over 200 fleets across 16 U.S. states and a database of over 600 electric vehicle (EV) makes and models, PowerGuide offers utility customers market awareness, education and modeling to help make the transition to electrified fleets easier through data visualization and dashboarding. The platform also supports informed decision-making on vehicle costs, more cost-effective maintenance schedules, grid impacts, and community benefits.
The platform also provides utilities with targeted fleet electrification prospective customers, including businesses and communities that could generate high environmental benefits and a reduction in greenhouse gas emissions. Central Hudson, a New York utility, is an early adopter of the platform and is leveraging PowerGuide to help customers identify fleet electrification opportunities and streamline their planning.
“Central Hudson is committed to finding innovative avenues that will help our communities reduce their carbon footprint through environmentally beneficial electrification of transportation,” said Ryan Hawthorne, Vice President of Electric Engineering and Operations. “PowerGuide gives us the ability to coordinate with customers who will benefit the most from fleet electrification, allowing us to make real and lasting impacts on emissions, and further support New York’s ambitious clean energy initiatives.”
