Leading moving company Atlas® World Group, Inc. is proud to announce its commitment to Truckers Against Trafficking (TAT) with its generous fundraising donation of $120,000 at the 74th Annual Atlas Convention. This donation represents Atlas’ largest fundraising total and participation to date.

Truckers Against Trafficking is an organization that exists to educate, equip, empower, and mobilize members of the trucking, bus, and energy industries to combat human trafficking. TAT’s goals are to saturate trucking and related industries with TAT materials, partner with law enforcement and government agencies to facilitate the investigation of human trafficking and marshal the resources of its partners to combat this crime.

Since 2019, Atlas has hosted a charity fundraiser at the annual event. In light of Atlas® Van Lines becoming a corporate partner and bronze-level sponsor of TAT in early 2021, the Atlas family was eager to support and raise funds for the organization.

“We are thrilled to have raised nearly $120,000 for Truckers Against Trafficking (TAT) at our 74th Atlas World Group Convention,” said Jack Griffin, Chairman and CEO of Atlas® World Group. “With our Professional Van Operators (PVOs) regularly on the roads across North America, they have the ability to make a real impact, and we are grateful for TAT’s commitment to educate our PVOs so they may become a source of assistance. The Atlas family is humbled at the opportunity to promote and support such an important and timely cause, and we will continue to do our part to combat human trafficking alongside the organization.”

“Truckers Against Trafficking is eager to continue engaging with Atlas in new and deepening ways,” said Laura Cyrus, MA, TAT Director of Corporate Engagement. “With the release of our new training video specific to movers and in-home delivery professionals in early 2022, we hope to activate even more Changemakers in this niche transportation industry to recognize and report human trafficking. We are grateful of the Atlas network’s commitment demonstrated at the 2021 Atlas World Group Convention and I look forward to helping the Atlas family of companies spread the word about the excellent opportunity operators have to help change and save lives.”

Atlas and its local Atlas movers are proud to share TAT’s vision of interrupting trafficking networks by empowering its workforce to take action. For more information about Truckers Against Trafficking and how you can make a difference, please visit https://truckersagainsttrafficking.org/.
