Con-way Freight Employees in Portland Reject Union Representation
In an election conducted by the National Labor Relations Board at Con-way Freight’s Portland, OR maintenance facility, employees voted to reject representation by the International Brotherhood of Teamsters.
Joseph M. Dagnese, president of Con-way Freight, commented, “We continue to believe that our best path forward is one where we are focused on our customers, working together directly with our employees to deliver a superior service experience, without the interference of a third party.”
Con-way Freight currently does not have a contract with a union at any of its nearly 300 locations in the U.S.
The company is the industry’s leading less-than-truckload (LTL) freight transportation company, providing support via a network of more than 425 service locations serving the United States, Canada, Mexico and Puerto Rico.
