Consolidation Creates Largest Taxi and For-Hire-Vehicle Tech Group

Creative Mobile Technologies, a leading taxi technology provider in the United States, has announced its consolidation with Mobile Knowledge Systems, a leading for-hire-vehicle technology provider in Canada.

Under the deal, the 35-year-old Canadian-based for-hire-vehicle dispatch and technology pioneer will continue to oversee support for its customers as part of the CMT corporate network, which includes media, investment, and international subsidiaries.

CMT and Mobile Knowledge have been strategic partners since 2005 when the two companies united to provide New York City with comprehensive taxi technology solutions for the first time in the City’s history. Since then, the companies have continued to work together while expanding their respective operations across North America and Europe.

Following the consolidation, the combined company will have operations in over 150 cities and 10 countries throughout the world and will make CMT the largest integrated taxi technology solution provider worldwide.

While CMT’s customers are largely taxi companies throughout the country, Mobile Knowledge’s customer base also includes corporate car services and livery services throughout North America. Mobile Knowledge will retain its brand and corporate identity as part of the transaction.
