ETHERO Truck + Energy Expands Territory to North Carolina and South Carolina

| April 10, 2023

ETHERO is uniquely positioned to provide fleet customers with complete electric vehicle solutions

The zero-emissions truck dealership and energy solutions provider has been awarded additional territory in North Carolina and South Carolina, broadening the reach for sales and service of Nikola Corporation trucks and Lonestar Specialty Vehicles terminal tractors. This expansion provides additional service accessibility to fleet owners in several East Coast ports, including Baltimore, Norfolk Virginia, Wilmington North Carolina, and Charleston South Carolina.

“We plan to continue building out our facilities and teams in North Carolina and South Carolina to allow fleet owners the expertise, education, sales, and service we provide throughout the region,” said Dave Rogers, director of ETHERO’s Electric Truck Division. With this move, the company is pursuing additional charging infrastructure for future service locations as well as infrastructure projects for fleet customers.

Rogers spoke last week at the University of North Carolina Chapel Hill Clean Tech Summit to talk about the many changes ahead in the transportation sector and how ETHERO is working with fleets to transition from diesel to battery electric trucks like the Nikola Tre BEV. From a carbon emissions perspective, replacing one diesel truck with one heavy-duty zero emissions truck removes the equivalent emissions of 23 passenger cars from the road.

“A main concern for fleets right now is sustainability and managing greenhouse gas emissions and their carbon footprint, while also making sure they have the necessary charging infrastructure,” explained Rogers. “ETHERO is uniquely positioned to provide fleet customers with complete electric vehicle solutions. Our sales team and technicians are dedicated to guiding customers through the transition, from consultation to project completion and any maintenance they require.”

ETHERO is the exclusive Mid-Atlantic franchised dealership for Nikola battery electric trucks (BEV) and hydrogen fuel cell electric trucks (FCEVs) and the designated distributor and servicing dealer for Lonestar Specialty Vehicles battery electric terminal tractors. ETHERO’s flagship operations in Mechanicsville, Virginia, and Elkridge, Maryland, serve the greater metropolitan areas of Richmond and Baltimore. ETHERO intends to expand its territory to further support fleet operators in Washington, D.C.; Delaware; and Northern California
