FedEx Corp. and FedEx Freight Up in Q3
FedEx Corp. (NYSE: FDX) reported earnings of $2.07 per diluted share ($2.35 per diluted share on an adjusted basis) for the third quarter ended February 28, compared to earnings of $1.84 per diluted share a year ago ($2.51 per diluted share last year on an adjusted basis).
Net income was also up — at $562 million for the period versus $507 million for the prior year.
Also of note:
- FedEx Ground segment reported reported quarterly revenue of $4.69 billion as compared to $4.41 billion in the same period in 2016
- FedEx Freight was up 3% in the period, with revenues of $1.49 billion versus $1.45 billion in the 2016 period.
