FMCSA to Host CMV Driver Appreciation Day Announcing Safety Initiatives for CMV Drivers
Announcements include a new road safety awareness campaign and updates on the Women of Trucking Advisory Board
The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) is recognizing and celebrating our nation’s commercial motor vehicle (CMV) drivers by hosting a CMV Driver Appreciation Day to announce public safety initiatives and programs that prioritize the health and safety of our nation’s large truck and motorcoach drivers. Announcements include a new road safety awareness campaign and updates on the Women of Trucking Advisory Board (WOTAB) and Truck Leasing Task Force (TLTF), as part of the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law and Biden-Harris Administration’s Trucking Action Plan and as part of the U.S. Department of Transportation’s (USDOT) National Roadway Safety Strategy to eliminate roadway fatalities.
