Former UPS Chief Commercial Officer Named President of Trackonomy
Trackonomy Systems Inc., a technology and solutions company with a platform enabling end-to-end visibility and control across fragmented supply chains, announced that Alan Gershenhorn, former Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer of United Parcel Service, Inc. (NYSE: UPS), will become the President of Trackonomy.
Gershenhorn brings his 38 years of global logistics industry experience to further advance Trackonomy’s mission.
At UPS, Gershenhorn led and participated in numerous transformational strategies helping reshape the company from a $3.3B U.S. centric ground small package delivery company, when he first joined, to a $65B leader in global logistics and supply chain solutions. In his role as Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, he directed strategy, M&A, marketing, sales, e-commerce, product development, government affairs, and key growth strategies across the enterprise. He also led and oversaw the acquisition, integration and ongoing operations of Marken and Coyote Logistics.
Gershenhorn joined UPS in 1979 and in addition to serving as the company’s first Executive Vice President and Chief Commercial Officer, he held executive roles in both the U.S. and the international arenas, including Chief Sales, Marketing and Strategy Officer, Senior Vice President and President UPS International; President UPS Supply Chain Solutions Global Transportation and Shared Services; President UPS Supply Chain Solutions Europe, Asia, Middle East and Africa; and President UPS Canada. He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Beacon Roofing Supply, Transportation Insight, a portfolio company of Gryphon Investors and Worldwide Express, a Ridgemont Equity Partners portfolio company and as a strategic advisor to 8VC, the venture capital fund dedicated to solving real-world problems through industry transformation.
