Fuel Efficiency Forum for Bus and Truck Fleet Operators
Allison Transmission and organisations from across the commercial vehicle sector are inviting anyone interested in fuel efficiency – from fleet and maintenance engineers to finance and operations directors – to attend a new Fuel Efficiency Forum on September 26th at Millbrook Proving Ground, Bedfordshire.
Companies behind current and future developments in lubricants, engines and transmissions, aerodynamics, braking systems, and other technologies, will present a number of seminars all geared towards helping improve fuel efficiency. Speakers include Daniel Geis-Esser, Research and Development Manager from Knorr-Bremse, Anthony Sale, Senior Engineer, Powertrain, at Millbrook, Stuart Milne, Cluster Lubes Manager UK and Ireland at Exxon Mobil, Andy Matthias, TBR Product and Marketing Manager (UK) at Bridgestone, and Allison Transmission’s UK Area Manager, Riccardo Sardelli.
To demonstrate the potential impact of current developments on fuel efficiency, attendees will be able to ride and drive a variety of Allison fully automatic transmission-equipped vehicles representing the leisure, bus, refuse, construction and fire service industries. These include a Dennis Eagle Elite refuse, a Dagger fire truck and a Terex TA400 artic dump truck. This is an exclusive opportunity to ride with driving professionals and witness first-hand some of the vehicle efficiency measures covered during the day, at the Millbrook facility which offers a variety of driving conditions.
The event is the first of its kind in the UK. Hosted by Allison Transmission and supported by Bridgestone UK, Fiat Powertrain, Knorr-Bremse Systems, Exxon Mobil, Millbrook and Mitchell Powersystems.
