Fueling the Front Lines During Covid-19
EROAD is encouraging other states to adopt this ‘Feed a Trucker’
Transport technology company EROAD has been supporting state trucking associations to provide food and safety supplies to truck drivers that are active on the front lines during the Covid-19 pandemic. |
As people across the country stay home to slow the spread of the virus, truck drivers are delivering essential goods to local communities, keeping shelves stocked and supermarkets full, but are having a hard time finding a meal for themselves due to restaurant and truck stop closures along typical routes. Last week EROAD partnered with the Oregon Trucking Association and Right Weigh to hand out lunchboxes, water and safety supplies to trucks driving through Oregon’s Woodburn at the Port of Entry South Bound. In Washington state, EROAD has partnered with Washington Trucking Associations to provide meals to truckers at the ports of Washington. EROAD is encouraging other states to adopt this ‘Feed a Trucker’ campaign through providing useful tips that any association can follow. These can be viewed on supporting our front line during the Covid-19 pandemic. EROAD’s support of the trucking community during these unprecedented times hasn’t stopped at just fueling truck drivers’ stomachs. The company has partnered with California Trucking Associations, for a webinar presented by Annette Sandberg, CEO of TransSafe Consulting and moderated by Soona Lee, EROAD’s Director of Regulatory Compliance. This webinar will provide valuable information to support carrier’s Covid-19 business strategies, covering topics that include understanding your obligations around CDL and medical cards, strategies to ensure compliance beyond COVID-19 orders and the relevant documentation required. |
