Geotab Notches Sale of 150,000 GO7 Fleet Management Devices

Geotab, a leading provider of end-to-end telematics technology has announced that between February 2015 and June 2015, more than 150,000 Geotab GO7 devices were sold.

Designed for fleet management applications, the GO7 detects data from the engine, drivetrain, instrument cluster and other relevant subsystems to maximize productivity and minimize downtime, with a a warranty field failure rate of just 0.11 percent.

“Fleet owners value reliability, which is a major reason why the Geotab GO7 is their go-to solution for maximizing productivity and efficiency,” said Geotab CEO Neil Cawse.   Announced in October 2014, the G07 was certified for use on the Verizon network a few weeks later.

The company noted that operator certification is a major milestone because it enabled this solution to be sold into a larger pool of potential customers, such as those that require specific geographic coverage or that prefer a particular network operator.

Geotab’s products are sold worldwide through its authorized reseller network on five continents and serve over 12,000 customers.   Today, 600 million telematics data-points are collected on MyGeotab every day.
