Humanetics Innovative Solutions Opens New Headquarters in Michigan

 

Humanetics Innovative Solutions, a leading supplier in the design and manufacture of sophisticated crash test dummies, has announced that it has moved its headquarters to a larger and more modern facility in Farmington Hills, MI.

The company’s new global headquarters is located 10 miles north of the former location and comprises over 100,000 square feet of total floor space, with available capacity for future growth. The customized design and layout of the new building meet the unique needs of manufacturing, engineering, calibration, software development and corporate administrative functions by consolidating all Michigan based operations into one single location.

The state-of-the-art facility is equipped with ergonomic workstations and multi-media collaboration spaces for its 200+ employees. It also offers a dozen conference rooms with the latest communication infrastructure to further cultivate global team building and inspire new innovations. In practice of continuous improvement, Humanetics also made necessary changes to adopt lean and green philosophies throughout the organization to improve quality, enhance service and reduce waste.

In addition, the upgraded calibration test lab has been optimized to improve efficiency and throughput of the day-to-day operations. Test fixtures such as the thorax and neck pendulum stands, as well as additional data acquisition systems are being added to increase overall capacity and eliminate bottlenecks.
