Ian Hobday Named CEO of Green Automotive Company

Green Automotive Company (OTC: GACR) has announced that Ian Hobday has been named CEO with effect from the 1st September 2013.

He will take on this role in addition to his current position as CEO of GAC’s UK subsidiary Liberty Electric Cars and will continue to be a Director of GAC. Hobday will be responsible for implementing the strategy developed by the management team of GAC which, amongst other things, will see it launch a “first-of-its-kind” electric shuttle bus through its subsidiary Newport Coachworks in February 2014.

Hobday assumes the CEO position as Fred Luke, steps down from his role as President whilst continuing to work with the company as a Director.

Having built a strong track record of developing businesses and profits within the multinational marketplace, Hobday joined Liberty Electric Cars in the UK as its first major investor in May 2007 and subsequently assumed the roles of Managing Director and CEO. After a successful career, which included high profile positions as Vice President of Direct Sales at BASF in France and Global Managing Director at Arch Chemicals in Italy, Hobday founded an investment firm to provide funding to promising “green” start-up businesses. It is through this role that he became committed to the sector of the economy that holds great potential to positively impact the environment while vastly improving the quality of life for consumers everywhere.
