J.B. Hunt to Join Shippers and Carriers on Single eCommerce Platform
J.B. Hunt Transport Services, Inc. (NASDAQ: JBHT), one of the largest supply chain solutions providers in North America, has announced a the launch of a single eCommerce platform that brings shippers and carriers together.
Called, J.B. Hunt 360™, J.B. Hunt also announced it will dedicate more than $500 million over the next five years to enhancing its operating systems, developing cloud infrastructure, and creating innovative and disruptive technologies.
To support this transformation, the company has doubled its engineering and technology talent.

Marketplace will connect shippers and carriers in J.B. Hunt 360 by using real-time data and artificial intelligence to match freight with capacity, pairing the right load with the right carrier to create efficiency and cost savings. As carriers make instant offers on available loads, shippers will be provided true market pricing of shipments. The system will automate carrier selection based on preference, ratings and reviews, and other factors.
Marketplace is backed by the company’s contracted carriers with a combined capacity of more than one million trucks. Additional capabilities will be added to J.B. Hunt 360 throughout 2017, including interactive voice-command/response, real-time load recommendations, and automation tools for both shippers and carriers. The platform’s predictive analytics will provide more precise delivery times, resulting in better customer service and smarter decision making.
