Katherine Stainken Joins Plug In America as Policy Director
Electric vehicle advocacy group Plug In America has announce its recent hire of Katherine Stainken, who will join the Plug In America team as its Policy Director working remotely from Sacramento, CA.
In this role, Katherine will focus on promoting policies and programs nationwide that revolutionize the transportation sector and encourage more electric vehicles on the road.
Prior to Plug In America, Stainken served as Director of Government Affairs at the Solar Energy Industries Association where she focused on policies to promote solar at the federal level. In this role, Katherine also served as the lead staff on the organization’s response to the EPA’s Clean Power Plan.
A graduate of Boston College, Katherine received her Masters in Global Environmental Policy from American University. She is a Fulbright and ThinkSwiss scholar and a current member of the Emerging Leaders in Environmental and Energy Policy Network.
