Kit Q. Boyd Named COO at Neovia Logistics
Gobal logistics provider Neovia Logistics has announced that Kit Q. Boyd will join the company as Chief Operations Officer on January 16, 2017.
Boyd brings a strong background in omni-channel distribution, logistics, manufacturing, and e-commerce to Neovia, where he will oversee the daily operations of the company, reporting to CEO Pat Olney.
“Kit’s extensive relevant experience in logistics and manufacturing and his track record of driving significant operational improvements will bring valuable perspective to our executive leadership team,” said Olney. “We look forward to working with him to take Neovia to the next level of growth and operational excellence.”
Boyd recently served as Senior Vice President of Global Logistics with Ingram Micro, a $45 billion Fortune 100 company and the world’s largest omni-channel distribution provider of information technology products. At Ingram Micro, he was responsible for leading a team of more than 7,000 associates and for optimizing an $800 million warehousing and transportation network.
Before joining Ingram, Boyd was responsible for warehousing and transportation at Ecolab, a $5 billion Fortune 500 chemical manufacturing company. Earlier in his career, Boyd worked for Hewlett-Packard and Compaq Computer, gaining hands-on experience in account management, procurement, engineering, planning, manufacturing, customer service and distribution. He also served in the United States Air Force, where he spent the majority of his career leading operational teams involved in the launch of our nation’s satellite assets. He has been active in various professional groups including the Warehouse Education and Research Council (WERC) and the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals.
Boyd holds a bachelor’s degree from the United States Air Force Academy and an MBA from Chapman in Orange California. He lives in Ladera Ranch, CA with his wife and two children.
