Local Government Fleets in California Add 90 All-Electric Vehicles

According to MTC, ten local governments — including cities of San Jose, San Francisco, Oakland, Fremont, Concord and Santa Rosa; counties of Alameda and Sonoma; Marin Municipal Water District and Sonoma County Water Agency — are adding 90 all-electric vehicles to their fleets.

MTC is the transportation planning, coordinating and financing agency for the nine-county San Francisco Bay Area.

MTC notes that this marks the single largest EV deployment in the U.S. to date by government agencies.

Vehicles selected include Ford Focus, Nissan Leaf, Zenith Van.
