Integrated systems allow drivers to focus on the road and boost safety and efficiency for fleets

Trucker Path, announced during the McLeod Software UC2024 User Conference a new capability in the McLeod TMS that allows fleet drivers to instantly and easily access navigation in the Trucker Path app.

“Drivers can now transition from the McLeod transportation management system to navigation in the Trucker Path app with a single tap,” said Chris Oliver, CMO at Trucker Path. “This new integrated solution with McLeod highlights our mobile and driver-first philosophy. With drivers increasingly relying on mobile devices for navigation and essential in-route live information feeds, the ease of accessing critical information with minimal effort ensures that they stay connected, informed, and can focus their attention on the road.”

The seamless flow of navigation information between the McLeod TMS and the Trucker Path app has several benefits for drivers and fleets:

●      Reducing the need to manually input navigation information or toggle between applications creates a more fluid, intuitive experience for drivers, and can enhance safety.

●      The inclusion of truck size and weight dimensions ensures proper truck routing to avoid low bridges, weight-restricted roadways, tight turns and more which improves safety and overall route efficiency.

●      Fleet managers can send accurate, detailed, pre-configured custom routes directly to drivers in the Trucker Path app, further boosting operational efficiency and reducing fuel costs.

●      Reducing back-and-forth communication between dispatchers and drivers creates a frictionless process for both parties.

“Drivers from McLeod customer companies made it clear they need reliable commercial routes, along with easy access to fuel and parking providers. Our partnership with Trucker Path now delivers these essential tools through McLeod’s Driver Sidekick mobile app, sending stop details directly to Trucker Path to make navigation and trip planning easier than ever,” noted Ed Noles, McLeod Software’s Product Manager for Mobile Applications.
