ONE20, a driver focused community supporting professional drivers, has announced the extension of its membership tools and services to all members of the National Association of Small Trucking Companies (NASTC).

The ONE20 membership is free and provides professional drivers and carriers with a variety of benefits such as free truck-safe navigation, free roadside assistance and what it deems the lowest-cost electronic logging device (ELD) on the market, free of monthly service fees.

“Drivers and small carriers shouldn’t be charged extra to access discounted tools and services – a difficult life on the road is payment enough,” said Christian Schenk, CEO and president of ONE20. “If we can help drivers who are members of other associations, that’s exactly what we’re going to do.”

Currently, small trucking companies interested in a NASTC membership must pay an annual fee of $250, as well as other setup and ongoing fees depending on which programs a fleet chooses to access. The approach also offers discounts on tires.

The group claims: Based on industry averages, individual ONE20 members can save more than $8,000 over a three-year period by utilizing these value added services. In

ONE20 believes its programs and services should be made available to drivers everywhere in order to support their mission of improving life on the road. Accordingly, ONE20 will continue to seek out and work with fleets and drivers who may be affiliated with other organizations, but who also desire value-added services and benefits they might otherwise not be able to afford.

“This is not about making money off our members,” Schenk said. “It’s about banding together and making life on the road better for drivers regardless of other affiliations.”
