Transportation service provider, RoadEx, offering freight bill factoring, dispatch, and insurance services to owner-operator truck fleets has promoted general counsel, Samer Hamade, to vice president of operations. RoadEx CEO Paul Adams made the announcement.
“Samer’s elevated position is well deserved,” Adams said. “Throughout his time within the company, he has proven that he can take on large scale problems and utilize his expertise to create sensible solutions. As a former dispatcher, Samer knows first-hand the real challenges those in our industry face each day. In our business, there is little margin for error and we know with Samer on our team, we’re well-positioned for long-term success and to deliver our clients unmatched service.”
Hamade began as a licensed attorney at RoadEx and transitioned into his current role of general counsel / vice president of operations for RoadEx on October 1, 2021. Hamade’s dual position allows him to provide strategic growth management and legal counsel, allowing Roadex to continue to expand and serve truckers.
“Having started in transportation early in his career, Samer understands the complexities of the trucking industry very well,” said RoadEx Chair of the Board, Deep Dhillon. “We’re delighted for the path he has charted thus far and the impact he has made on the RoadEx brand. Looking to the future, we expect Samer to develop his skills and experience continued growth and advancement within the company as we face new challenges together.”
Samer Hamade was first introduced to the transportation industry as a dispatcher at DF Carrier LLC from 2012 to 2013. During that time, he was simultaneously earning his bachelor’s degree in marketing from Wayne State University. Hamade was then promoted to dispatch manager, overseeing a team of employees and would split his time between managing employees, ensuring loads were properly booked and everything was running smoothly, sometimes working overtime hours, and dedicating a significant amount of time to his coursework. Hamade was soon promoted to operations manager where he supported his operational staff, including finance, IT, human resources and accounting departments and worked to increase efficiency across the organization.
In 2017, Hamade completed his bachelor’s degree with honors from Wayne State University and began pursuing his law degree at the University of Wayne State School of Law. During this time, he also began working on his MBA. He completed his J.D. and MBA in 2019 and passed the bar exam in May 2020.
