New Additive Series for Trucks from Liqui Moly

Pick-up trucks, while certainly commonplace on virtually all t roads and highways, simply do not have engine profiles or workloads like ordinary cars . Their technology and often also their use differ significantly.

That’s why the German motor oil and additive specialist LIQUI MOLY has developed its own additive line especially for pick-up trucks. “These additives ensure the truck gets its full performance back and is equal to even the toughest of jobs,” says Sebastian Zelger, who is responsible for the North American business of LIQUI MOLY.

The Truck series is made up of five petrol, diesel and oil additives. Let’s get a little more specific.

1. The Truck Series Complete Diesel System Cleaner is a cleaning additive, which frees the fuel system and the combustion chambers from deposits. It is ideally implemented, as part of the oil change or if problems occur due to deposits. The Truck Series Complete Diesel System Cleaner can either be simply added to the tank or the fuel filter and is filled with the additive instead of diesel after being replaced. The engine then runs for a short time on pure additive for the best cleaning.
2. The Truck Series Diesel Performance and Protectant is designed for permanent use. It removes deposits, prevents the creation of new deposits and increases the cetane number. A higher cetane number improves the combustion of the fuel and the motor provides better performance.
3. The counterpart for petrol motors is the Truck Series Complete Fuel Cleaner. With it the motor runs more quietly and consumption is reduced.
4. The fourth additive of the new Truck series is the DPF Protector. If the truck is mostly used for short journeys and in urban traffic, the diesel particulate filter does not reach the necessary temperature in order to begin automatic regeneration. The result: The filter is prematurely blocked. The DPF Protector reduces the temperature required for automatic regeneration, so that the filter remains unblocked.
5. The fifth additive of the new Truck series is the Oil Treatment. It contains MoS2 particles as a lubricant, which protect the motor against wear.
