New Safe Fleet Driving Awards from Azuga

Azuga, a cloud-based GPS fleet tracking and social telematics solution, has launched its Safe Driving Awards program, designed to recognize fleet managers and drivers to practice safer, more efficient driving.

Here’s how it works. Using an algorithm developed by Azuga, the ranking is calculated by a weighted average of several individual components including speeding, hard braking, harsh acceleration and idling events, each of which consider the magnitude, duration and frequency along with a spatio-temporal index that factors in the conditions under which these events occurred.
