Pace of Manufacturing Heats Up

The pace of manufacturing is starting to sizzle, now motoring at its fastest stride in more than three years.

Yes, the economy definitely appears to be accelerating

A closely watched index measuring the health of the nation’s factories rose from 57.1 to 59, the highest level since March 2011.  According to the Institute for Supply Management, a reading above 50 indicates a period of expansion.

In fact, 17 of 18 manufacturing sectors notched growth.
