Paragon Software Selected by Goody Goody Liquors
Paragon Software Systems, Inc, a software company focused on vehicle routing and scheduling, has announced that Goody Goody Liquors Inc. has purchased its Paragon Single Depot transportation planning software.
Goody Goody Liquors will use the routing and scheduling solution to develop and implement efficient and practical transportation schedules for its fleet of more than 35 trucks located at three individual distribution centers.
Goody Goody Liquors is replacing existing operational planning software with a number of Paragon Single Depot systems which will allow it to benefit from the system’s automated and advanced routing and scheduling capabilities. The Paragon software stores information about customer delivery requirements, truck capacities and drivers and generates routes and schedules that are practical, and optimized to minimize transportation costs.
Goody Goody Liquors, the number one volume liquor store chain in Dallas, operates 27 retail locations locations. Founded in 1964, the company also has 6 wholesale locations that now services between 600 and 700 hotels and restaurants in the Dallas, Houston and Longview.
In making today’s announcement, William Salter, president & CEO of Paragon, stated: “Goody Goody Liquors is focused on customer service, reducing miles, improving resource utilization and cost savings. The flexibility and ease of use of Paragon’s Single Depot routing software will help them achieve those objectives.”
