Remote Mount AC Condenser from EMP Boosts Fleet Fuel Economy

Engineered Machined Products (EMP), in collaboration with Walmart, has completed development and field pilots of a remote mount AC condenser that field tests show improves fuel economy and reduces emissions in the range of 2% – 6% depending on duty cycle.

Utilizing advanced thermal management technology, the remote mount AC condenser is relocated from its traditional spot in front of the radiator and charge air cooler (CAC) to a location behind the cab where an electric fan and condenser are installed.
