Rush Trucking Names Gregory Humes Interim CEO

Gregory HumesThe Rush Group Family of Companies has announced that Gregory Humes recently joined Rush Trucking, a freight transportation concern based in Wayne, Mich., as interim chief executive officer.

Before joining Driving for America, Humes held senior executive roles at major corporations, including chief operating officer at Landstar Supply Chain Solutions, president of National Logistics Management, president and chief executive of Vector SCM and president of Penske Logistics Global Automotive.

Humes, a 30-year logistics and supply chain veteran, previously spearheaded the creation of logistics staffing school Driving for America, which provides training, certification and job placement in the trucking industry for military veterans.

Rush Trucking transports goods for Fortune 100 companies across the U.S. and Canada with 800 tractors and 1,350 trailers. The Rush Group Family of Companies, which owns Rush Trucking and also operates Dakkota Integrated Systems and Detroit Manufacturing Systems, auto suppliers formed through joint venture partnerships.
