SEPTA: No Strike in Philadelphia, Yet
According to reports, the union representing transit workers in Philadelphia, Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) say that there will not be a strike – this despite a Sunday midnight contract deadline.
Should a shutdown occur, it would cover all Philadelphia city transit lines, suburban buses and trolleys.
SEPTA reports that it has offered a two-year contract with wage hikes of 2 percent and 3 percent.
The deal would also include higher health care premiums.
