Serv-U-Success Taps HighJump Software for Supply Chain Management

HighJump Software, a global provider of supply chain management software, has announced that Serv-U-Success, a wholly owned subsidiary of Michigan-based retailer Meijer, Inc., has selected the HighJump warehouse management system (WMS), performance management system and supplier enablement solution for its three distribution centers (DCs).

Serv-U-Success offers logistics services across five states, including direct store delivery for nearly 1,500 snack and beverage SKUs.

The company expects to iServ-U-Successncrease the on-time delivery and reliability of suppliers, improve throughput and utilize its physical space more efficiently with the HighJump solutions. Now, Serv-U-Success can avoid the need for manual workarounds and batch processes by leveraging the flexible HighJump WMS to drive warehouse functionalities such as slotting, receiving and shipping. The supplier enablement system will provide a web portal for communication with its suppliers to monitor demand and capacity. Furthermore, Serv-U-Success will have the ability to monitor DC operations in real time, as well as worker productivity and all transactions via the performance management system.

“With the expected growth in our number of SKUs, the number of stores we serve and new geographic markets, we knew we needed a flexible and robust WMS that could meet all of our demands and grow with us,” said Gary VanSpronson, Serv-U-Success Vice President of Operations. “We found that the configurability and flexibility of the HighJump solutions will support us in all of those regards.

HighJump Software’s architecture is based on the familiar Microsoft software, allowing Serv-U-Success’ IT staff to quickly learn and operate the system. The company also plans to leverage the free HighJump App Station to download and quickly integrate new functionalities as the company grows, thereby keeping the total cost of ownership low.
