SmartHop and Redwood Logistics Join Forces to Meet the Needs of New Owner-Operators
Partnership Will Bring New Load Opportunities to Small Carriers
SmartHop, the total dispatch solution that enables businesses to truck smarter not harder, announced its partnership with Redwood Logistics, a leading logistics platform company. The partnership integrates Redwood’s API with SmartHop’s intelligent solution to streamline and offer better load opportunities for drivers.
“Nearly 90 percent of the trucking industry is powered by small carriers, yet the support available to these drivers is limited,” said Guillermo Garcia, CEO and co-founder of SmartHop. “By bringing Redwood onto SmartHop’s platform, we can change the tide and offer more load opportunities to owner-operators and small fleets.”
Redwood Logistics has been providing solutions for moving and managing freight for nearly 20 years. Integrating with SmartHop helps extend the reach of Redwood’s community to better respond to the evolving needs and challenges of owner operators.
“The integration with the SmartHop platform will enable us to drive carrier utilization and provide freight opportunities to carriers of all sizes,” said Michael Johnson, EVP of Strategy at Redwood Logistics. “By partnering with SmartHop, we are able to expand our capacity ecosystem and better serve our shipping partners through our digital freight brokerage”
Since SmartHop’s debut in February, the company grew rapidly with a $4.5M seed funding round in July. The partnership news follows SmartHop’s recent executive team expansion, enabling the company to push forward new innovations and capabilities that provide a complete, business-in-a-box solution for small carriers.
