Stertil-Koni Launches New Website for U.S. Military

| October 3, 2013

SKMilitary.comStertil-Koni, the leader in heavy duty vehicle lifts — notably bus lifts and truck lifts — today announced the launch of a new website, http://www.SKMilitary.com, specifically designed to deliver enhanced service to members of the U.S. Military around the world.

In making today’s announcement, company president, Dr. Jean DellAmore, stated, “Stertil-Koni proudly supports the U.S. Military by delivering award-winning, high-performance lifting systems ideally suited for servicing light, medium and heavy tactical vehicles. Today, our lifts are hard at work in such domestic U.S. Military locations as Fort Bragg, Camp Lejeune and Red River, as well as in the harsh environment of the theater, including the Middle East, where they continue to outperform other lift applications.”

Core to the Stertil-Koni approach is a broad product line of world-class hydraulic lifting solutions that deliver maximum flexibility, productivity and safety. For the U.S. Military, one of the most popular lifting systems is the Stertil-Koni wireless mobile column lifts. Available from the company’s modern manufacturing facility in Streator, Illinois, these lifts are all about performance and security. Noted Dr. DellAmore, “No external power source is required to operate them and no interconnecting cables are necessary – hence set-up time is minimal and the risk of tripping is eliminated.”

Wireless mobile column lifts from Stertil-Koni operate on deep cycle batteries that can be charged with regular 110 VAC and communicate with each other via Zigbee™ wireless encryption. Each Stertil-Koni mobile column lift is capable of lifting 16,500 to 40,000 lbs. per column, depending on the model, and when combined in sets of two, four six or more, the lifting capacity dramatically multiplies to accommodate longer and heavier applications – up to 160,000 lbs.

SK MilitaryAlso important for military uses, Stertil-Koni mobile column lifts are hydraulically powered and significantly faster than non-hydraulic lifts. The company’s typical mobile column lifts only require 89 seconds to reach maximum lifting height of 73”—comfortable for even the tallest of technicians—making them the tallest lifts in the industry and one of the fastest mobile lifting columns in the world. Further, the Stertil-Koni design utilizes a hydraulic cylinder rod that is not subject to damage from the elements and is protected from contamination from water, dust, oil or other corrosives.

Equally noteworthy in terms of safety, Stertil-Koni’s hydraulic mobile column lifts go above and beyond the minimum industry standard by providing gravity-activated safety locks that mechanically engage every 1.3 inches. Thus, Stertil-Koni’s mobile column lifts are considered the safest in the industry. To provide even more safety and convenience, Stertil-Koni also offers standard a “park on lock function” that mechanically locks the mobile column lifts at any desired height.

“Finally,” concluded DellAmore, “Stertil-Koni lifts are third-party tested and validated by ALI/ETL-Intertek, to ensure a safe, reliable lifting system – every time.”
