Stertil-Koni Unveils Full-Color Touch Screen Control for Wireless Mobile Column Lifts
Vehicle lift leader Stertil-Koni has introduced a full-color touch screen control console on its wireless mobile column lifts, engineered to provide intuitive, ease-of-use with maximum visual information about the lifting process – all at the fingertips of the technician.
Called “ebright Smart Control System,” the new touch-screen technology will initially be available on the Stertil-Koni EARTHLIFT™, widely recognized as the industry’s first hydraulic “green” wireless mobile column lift.
The new version of EARTHLIT is available with a lifting capacity per column of either 18,500 lbs. or 22,000 lbs. and is ANSI/ALI-ALCTV 2011 certified. What further differentiates the latest model of EARTHLIFT is Stertil-Koni’s new ebright Smart Control System, the benefits of which include:
- A high resolution, brightly illuminated, full-color, seven-inch screen Touch screen control, even when the technician is wearing gloves;
- Owner/user configurable options, including choice of language and personalized ID key to protect against unauthorized use; and
- Presentation of all relevant information at a glance Up to 32 mobile columns fully synchronized in a single set.
Stertil-Koni anticipates including the ebright Smart Control System in all new wireless mobile column lifts shipped in the first half of 2015.
Noted Stertil-Koni president, Dr. Jean DellAmore, “The ebright Smart Control System is all about customer care. This important advancement underscores Stertil-Koni’s unwavering dedication to constantly improving the safety and performance of what already is the very best heavy duty wireless, hydraulic mobile column lifting system in the world.”
“What’s more,” he added, “this powerful, accessible screen – evocative of today’s most popular tablet computers – provides key information prominently and quickly. This includes such vital data as maintenance notifications, programmable lifting-height settings, tracking of specific operations, information codes and even the operations manual.”
For added safety and performance, the ebright Smart Control System also shows how many columns are in the Stertil-Koni wireless mobile column set being used, the load on each individual column in the set, and the battery status of each column.
Stertil-Koni selected the EARTHLIFT as the ideal vehicle to debut its ebright Smart Control System because the very lift itself has established new standards in heavy duty lifting. For example, true to its name, this award-winning lifting system features columns that are made with components that are 98% recyclable and the Active Energy Retrieval System (AERS) allows operators to achieve 35% more lifting cycles at maximum lifting load. Thus, users realize an average of up to 45 or 50 lifting cycles on a standard-sized transit bus without recharging. In addition, EARTHLIFT uses a closed hydraulic system that contains bio-degradable oil and the batteries are 100% recyclable.
Concluded Dr. DellAmore, “Information is indeed power, and with the ebright Smart Control System, Stertil-Koni is delivering measurable, actionable data directly to the person who needs it most – the vehicle maintenance technician on the ground. That’s powerful and further demonstrates our commitment to providing the very best heavy duty vehicle lifting systems in the industry.”
