Student Transportation Platform, Zūm, Leads the Way for Back to School Post COVID-19

Makes important announcements to enable school districts to plan, monitor, and manage their student transportation post COVID-19

Zūm, a leader in school transportation technology and services, announced its ‘COVID Protection Program’ designed to safely transport students during and post pandemic, the ‘Ultimate Guide to Student Transportation Post Pandemic,’ and it’s five-part ‘Webinar Series on Back to School Post Pandemic.’

Beyond simply updating health and safety guidelines and procedures, the program leverages Zūm’s technology platform including dynamic route management, contact tracing, and health and safety certifications, among other capabilities designed to promote social distancing and prevent the spread of COVID-19. Likewise, the program utilizes an innovative application of Zūm’s mobile friendly parent, school, student, and driver app.

Zūm’s app has long been used by parents, school staff, and drivers to seamlessly track student rides and easily communicate with multiple stakeholders. In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Zūm has added tools to support symptom reporting and contact tracing with the ability to record and report potential exposure for any students or drivers during transportation, and quickly communicate with all relevant stakeholders. Zūm’s technology platform enables leaders to optimize, plan, manage, and monitor student transportation while protecting the health and safety of students and drivers in real time.

Zūm’s COVID Protection Program, will be made available to all public, private, and charter schools currently using Zūm’s technology platform and transportation services with:

The Ultimate Guide supports school district administrators, industry partners, and community leaders responsible for student transportation and the safe reopening of schools. Zūm will be updating the Ultimate Guide on a regular basis with links to new resources, recent webinars, and recommendations for back to school developed in partnership with experts across the education and public health sectors.
