TravelCenters of America Releases TruckSmart® Mobile App Update

TravelCenters of America, operator of the TA® and Petro Stopping Centers® travel center brands, has released an update to its free TruckSmart® Mobile App that enables professional drivers to place an advance Truck Service maintenance or repair request from the app, prior to arriving at a TA or Petro Truck Service center.

Also new, the Plan2Park feature provides drivers with an estimated number of available parking spaces on a given day and hour within seven days.

“We have developed both of these new features to help drivers save time,” said Tom O’Brien, President and CEO of TravelCenters.

“Given HOS rules, drivers need to be able to maximize their hours on the road. The Truck Service repair request allows drivers to enter the service queue prior to arriving at a specified site.”

The goal is to greatly reduce or eliminate service bay wait times and get drivers back on the road. All professional drivers can use the Plan2Park feature on the TruckSmart app.
