U.S. Xpress Named Procter & Gamble’s “Carrier of the Year”
U.S. Xpress Professional Driver named one of P&G’s “Drivers of the Year”
U.S. Xpress Enterprises the nation’s fifth largest asset-based truckload carrier by revenue announced Procter & Gamble (“P&G”) has named the Company “Carrier of the Year,” for the second consecutive year. U.S. Xpress Professional Driver Tim Keckley was also honored as one of P&G’s “Drivers of the Year” during Procter & Gamble’s annual carrier summit.
U.S. Xpress was selected “Carrier of the Year” based on exceptional service, innovation, responsiveness, and a strong working partnership with P&G. One of U.S. Xpress’ top ten customers by revenue, P&G has used U.S. Xpress’ services for over a decade.
“I am impressed with the commitment and dedication evident within our team,” commented Eric Fuller, President and CEO of U.S. Xpress. “Our professional driver, Tim Keckley, embodies our Company culture and mission at the highest level by maintaining a safety-first mentality, investing his time in our trainees, and providing our customer with superior service. I am proud he is on our team. With our ‘Full Ride’ initiative (tuition-free college education), and our recently launched state-of-the-art Professional Driver Development program, my hope is that we can continue to attract professionals like Tim to U.S. Xpress.”
According to P&G, Keckley’s “Driver of the Year” award is an industry first, marking the first time in industry history that a major shipper has honored an individual driver. Keckley was chosen as one of P&G’s “Drivers of the Year” from a pool consisting of tens of thousands of drivers who touch P&G freight every year. Keckley was recognized for his professional achievements, a stellar safety record, and cultivating and maintaining a strong working relationship with P&G.
Keckley has been employed by U.S. Xpress for more than five years and has driven more than 350,000 safe miles. To date, he has trained 36 students to be professional drivers.
