Vigillo CEO Appointed to ATRI Research Advisory Committee

Vigillo LLC, creators of data mining software products designed to aggregate, organize and deliver complex fleet safety information in an easy-to-read scorecard format, has announced that CEO Steve Bryan has been appointed to serve on the Research Advisory Committee (RAC) of the American Transportation Research Institute (ATRI).

The RAC is charged with annually recommending a research agenda for the American Transportation Institute.
The ATRI is part of the American Trucking Associations (ATA) Federation, which represents over 35,000 motor carriers through the affiliated trucking associations in 50 states. As a result of ATRI’s prominence within the trucking industry, state and federal agencies turn to ATRI for trucking-related research, particularly when industry insight and cooperation is essential to the success of the project.

Steve was one of two off-cycle appointments to the 2013-1014 ATRI Research Advisory Committee.  Typically appointments are made every other year for two-year terms, however there were two openings due to members of the 2013-2014 RAC stepping down and Steve was appointed to fill one of those spots.  He will complete the existing term, which runs through December 31-2014.

The Research Advisory Committee is comprised of government officials, independent scientists, labor union officials, academics and trucking company executives and suppliers from a diverse cross-section of the industry, all who understand the importance of sound science to an industry as complex as the trucking industry.
