Voltu Motor Meets California Resources Board Permissions to Commercialize Zero Carbon Class 3 Trucks
Company to Manufacture in Riverside Meeting Compliance and Regulations for Emissions
Voltu Motor, a pioneering manufacturer of zero-emission commercial vehicles, has received approval from the California Air Resources Board (CARB) to commercialize its zero-carbon Class 3 trucks. This approval underscores Voltu Motor’s commitment to meeting sustainability and compliance regulatory requirements and puts the company at the forefront of commercializing Class 3 trucks. Voltu recently announced the company will build its manufacturing facility in Riverside, California.
“The certification process involved extensive documentation and validation, demonstrating Voltu’s commitment to meet California’s rigorous emissions standards,” said Juan Ignacio Artola, Chief Commercial Officer for Voltu Motor. “This is a significant milestone for the company and industry as we deliver the only fully compliant, high-performance and sustainable Class 3 electric work truck in the market.”
The company’s zero-carbon trucks are designed for an array of commercial applications, offering businesses a greener alternative to traditional diesel or fossil fuel powered vehicles without compromising on performance or efficiency. Voltu Motor trucks are built to perform with a payload of 4,400 pounds and towing more than 17,000 pounds. The trucks operate at a full range to 350 miles and only takes 30 minutes to power up from 20 to 80%.
