Continental remote tire monitoring

Continental is debuting a remote, digital tire monitoring platform at the North American Commercial Vehicle (NACV) show in Atlanta, Ga., Sept. 25-29.

The platform, one of the first of its kind in the U.S. and Canadian markets, provides an efficient solution for remote tire monitoring of an entire fleet. Digital tire monitoring technology allows fleets to replace manual and routine tire care with automatic and targeted care, fixing issues where they are known to exist and saving inspection and maintenance time.

It can also protect tires from long-term damage for improved retreadability, reduce tire-related breakdowns and tire wear, improve fuel efficiency and safety.

Continental develops pioneering technologies and services for sustainable and connected mobility of people and their goods and generated sales of €40.5 billion and currently employs more than 230,000 people in 56 countries.

The Tire Division currently has more than 24 production and development locations worldwide and achieved sales of €10.7 billion in 2016.

Continental Commercial Vehicle Tires is one of the largest manufacturers of truck, bus and commercial specialty tires worldwide.
